For the installation, celebrating the 10th annual mt Factory Tour organized by Japanese masking tape brand “mt”, Emmanuelle Moureaux used the brand’s 15mm-wide masking tape to create an impressive art installation composed of 100 different shades of colors. Moureaux used 6,000 thin lines of masking tapes, which were regularly layered vertically and diagonally to create a rhythmical immersive colorful space. As visitors walk through a tunnel within the installation, the colors and lines overlap and change depending on the viewing angle, resulting in a beautiful rainbow moiré of various expressions.
