The overall circulation design of Wufang Village adopts the form of splitting people and vehicles. An asphalt carriageway surrounds the village and connects the east entrance and south entrance of Wufang Village in series. Parking lots are reasonably distributed around the village, and there are pedestrian roads inside.
The overall layout of the building is in the form of a small settlement. The architectural style restores the characteristics of the traditional Chinese Jiangnan residential "white walls and black tiles". The softly sloped roof streamlines, the simple wooden lines, window frames, and the village landscape with different scenes, show the soft beauty of the Shanghai-style town and the rural style.
The landscape design is based on the original characteristics of the village, using old stone slabs, blue bricks, high lake stones, pebbles, and other materials to preserve and continue the traditional style of the countryside. Pomegranate, orange tree, persimmon tree, and vegetables are used to create three gardens of "garden, vegetable garden, orchard" in the front and back of the house.
Wufang Village is rich in water systems. The natural riverside landscape is mostly equipped with reeds, flower-leaf reeds, pampas reeds, etc. to enhance the wild interest; a variety of emerging plants, floating plants, and submerged plants are planted on the water to create an aquatic ecosystem.
There are 16 bridges in the village, including wooden bridges, bamboo bridges, and stone bridges. The twists and turns of the bamboo bridge in the peach grove, the distant view is looming in the peach grove, and it has a special charm. The traditional stone bridge has a sense of history as if it carries the past and future of Wufang Village.
