HBA has devised a masterplan to transform the sculptor’s Hertfordshire estate into a 21st century cultural attraction. We refurbished and extended the former office building, wrapping it within a two-storey, grey-stained timber and glass pavilion. The ground floor features reception facilities, a shop, accessible toilets, an education space and a café overlooking the gardens. Offices and meeting rooms are on the ground and first floor. A new archive for the artist's collections is clad in oxidised steel, contrasting with Moore’s bronzes and complementing the surrounding woodlands, and includes a timber lined reading room.
