"The design of the cafe was inspired by the realization of the dream of Alejandro Jodorowsky (the originator of the Cult movie). Jodorowsky, who is famous for his trilogy of 《Moles》, 《Holy Mountain》 and 《Holy Blood》,vowed to photograph the must-read classic 《Dune》 in the history of science fiction to express his sober thinking and infinite creativity for the future of mankind.
The designer of the cafe is obsessed with this, and inspiration emerges. As a passionate creator, the designer wants to inject his vision of the future into this steel jungle, and use design aesthetics to bring the real world into another dimension—the future and a greater perspective from space. He wants to discover a spiritual dune in the real world and put the cosmic fantasies into the world.
There are not many elements used in the design of this project——circles, squares, and triangles. The color also chooses the simple desert color and the blue sky. The ground height level also changes in 2-3 gradients. But the combination of these elements is a three-dimensional world like a maze.
The space as a whole adopts the most primitive and natural materials,The cafe design shows the minimalist aesthetic concept and wholesome design principles of SG Design.
The cafe also has the function of a restaurant, so we carefully selected the “Chandigarh chair” with architectural language as the dining chair to match the temperament of the space. The outdoor light is projected to the ground through the Square grid wall, forming a mottled light and shadow. This makes the space warm and adds a touch of romance to the cafe on the ""dunes""."
