Bjarke Ingels is at the forefront of an architectural revolution — not only in terms of designing buildings, but how those designs are communicated to the world. Conventional drawings and models are increasingly supplemented with fly-through movies, TED talks and creative monologues as the media of choice for the architect, as he seeks to make architecture more accessible to a generation that consumes the bulk of its culture through the internet.

In 2016, Bjarke released a new video in a similar vein, revealing a grand plan for The Spiral — a new office tower on the West Side of Manhattan, New York — whose helical garden terraces will form a vertical extension to the High Line. Check out this and seven other stories about architecture by Ingels, currently one of the profession’s most prolific narrators:

The Spiral, New York, United States

Vancouver House, Vancouver, Canada

MÉCA (Maison de l’Économie Créative et de la Culture en Aquitaine), Bordeaux, France

2 World Trade Center, New York, United States

Europa City, Paris, France
