That’s a wrap! The annual Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) concluded with a bang in Las Vegas last month, having seen thousands of designers attend in search of the hottest innovations and industry trends. In fact, some 90,000 attendees from all over the world explored the convention floor during the event, with 600 exhibitors showcasing the latest in bath and kitchen interiors. The scale and quality of the event surpassed previous years, and reviews of the event have been overwhelmingly positive.

“This was an amazing event, one of the best since 2008. The energy at KBIS was electric,” exclaimed Suzie Williford, executive vice president, industry relations and chief strategy officer for the National Kitchen and Bath Association.

“KBIS is the time we bring the entire industry together and this year was especially stellar. There was a constant flow of new and exciting products to see and insights to learn, whether walking the show floor, participating in one of our educational sessions, attending a KBISNeXT Stage panel discussion, or reconnecting with an industry colleague — KBIS 2020 was exceptional.”

Key moments at KBIS 2020 began before the show had even begun. On the eve of the convention, nearly 1,000 industry leaders, design professionals, VIPs and media attended the highly anticipated NKBA Design + Industry Awards at the Encore Resort.

Hosted by celebrity designer Kelli Ellis, More than 40 awards were given to industry professionals whose work is raising the bar in kitchen and bath design, showroom design, building and remodeling, outdoor living and Living in Place. You can see a complete list of the winners here.

Throughout the show, dozens of industry leaders shared their insights on the KBISNeXT Stage, giving expert views on hot topics pertaining to the interior design industry. Themes included Resilient Design, the Connected Home, Power in Brand Partnerships, Color Trends, Avenues to New Revenue and Designing for Wellness.

Arguably the biggest highlight of the show came on January 22 with the announcement of the Best of KBIS 2020 award winners. These products — and the brands behind them — represent the cream of the crop when it comes to specifying high end kitchen and bath interiors.

Kintsu Bath Collection by BRIZO

Kintsu Bath Collection by BRIZO scooped the Best in Show Award, for its unique form and creative use of luxury materials. Meanwhile, Plum was awarded Gold in the Kitchen category for its eponymous automatic wine dispenser, combining sleek, minimalist aesthetics with effortless functionality. Renowned manufacturer General Electric was also victorious, taking home Gold in the Bath category with its innovative UltraFresh Front Load Washer. You can see every Best of KBIS winner here.

KBIS 2020 set a new standard in showcasing brands at the forefront of kitchen and bath design, a critical area of architecture and construction. “We came into this year with a sold-out show floor, more than 500 returning exhibitors and 100 exhibiting for the first time,” said Amy Hornby, KBIS show director. “KBIS has experienced double digit attendance growth over the past two years, and hundreds of exhibitors are confirmed to exhibit at KBIS 2021, with many increasing their show presence.”
