NeoCon is back, and the 2022 edition of the design event is set to be more exciting than ever. Between June 13 – 15, 2022, thousands of architects and designers will congregate at theMART (formerly The Merchandise Mart) in Chicago, where hundreds of established and emerging brands will be showcase cutting-edge new product launches. The event is a much-anticipated opportunity to connect with designers from all over the country and to experience the latest innovations in design for the workplace, healthcare, hospitality, retail, education, public space, and government.
This year, Architizer is thrilled to announce that we will be inviting three practicing architects to join us at NeoCon. In exchange for airfare to and from Chicago (within America) and accommodations, as well as great publicity for your architecture firm, all we ask is that our chosen representatives create authentic, pithy social content about their experiences, reflections and observations at the 2022 NeoCon show in the Windy City. We’re calling this initiative NeoCon: By Architects For Architects.

More importantly, we’re looking for social media savvy designers with a fun personality and a discerning, design-forward eye to pick out the most interesting and important details at the show. Program Brief
The three chosen architects will be expected to attend all 3 days of NeoCon. Each day, we ask that you share regular updates with our Editors: photos, videos and observations. At the end of each day, we’ll be hosting a small discussion where the architects and Architizer’s Editor will meet for coffee and share a recap of the day over livestream. We’ll also ask for a small reflection on your experience at the end of the show — you can even write this out on the plane as you fly back to your home location — that we can draw on to create a tell-all article about the wold renowned event.

What’s On at NeoCon 2022
In addition to exhibiting exciting new materials to incorporate into your designs and extensive networking opportunities, NeoCon also presents an enticing line up of speakers throughout the 3-day period. Leading the charge, the 2022 keynote speakers include internationally renowned artist Nick Cave alongside Founder, Principal, and Creative Director for art and design studio Faust, Bob Faust; designer, artist, and educator Bruce Mau; and design futurist and educator, Shashi Caan. Each day of the show will feature additional on-site presentations, including a talk led by Todd Heiser and Lily Diego of Gensler Chicago offering an insider look into the upcoming MART 2.0 renovation project.
