Reflecting the 13th Architizer A+Awards’ spotlight on local innovation with global recognition, Architizer’s annual celebration continues its world tour — next stop, Paris.

Following a spectacular kickoff in New York City, the A+Awards are heading to the City of Light, where Architizer will partner with RELEASE [AEC], a groundbreaking new event dedicated to the technologies transforming architecture today. The Paris gathering marks the second of three international celebrations for the 2025 A+Awards season, each spotlighting a city at the forefront of architectural discourse: New York, Paris and Shenzhen.

This new multi-city format embodies last season’s A+Awards theme — local innovation, global recognition — reflecting how architecture today is turning away from homogenized spectacle toward regionally grounded, community-responsive design. In Paris, that idea will come vividly to life as architects, designers and innovators from across Europe, Africa and the Middle East converge to celebrate projects that define the future of architecture.

Each city will offer a unique lens on contemporary practice. In New York City, the celebration took place at the newly reimagined Lever Club, a sleek new space by Marmol Radziner that pays homage to the modernist spirit of the iconic building that houses it: SOM’s Lever House. Next up will be our event in Paris, where Architizer will partner with RELEASE [AEC], a groundbreaking new event dedicated to innovative technology in the AEC industry, which all A+Awards winners are invited to attend free of charge. Later in the season, Shenzhen — one of the world’s fastest-growing centers of architectural experimentation — will host a third celebration, in the soon-to-be-completed Shenzhen Bay Culture Plaza by MAD Architects.

Three region-specific Project of the Year awards will be honored at each event, shining a spotlight on some of the most exceptional projects in this season’s A+Awards cohort. Attendees will also be given an opportunity to see a sneak peek of the latest edition of Architizer’s beloved annual book, “The World’s Best Architecture.”

Together, these three gatherings mark a milestone in the history of the A+Awards: not a single night, but a season of architecture — honoring the world’s best projects while celebrating the communities and contexts that make them possible. These celebratory nights will offer architects the chance to connect with colleagues from their area, building connections amongst Architizer’s extraordinary design community.

October: New York City, New York

Lever Club by Marmol Radziner, New York City, New York | | Popular Choice Winner, Commercial Interiors (>25,000 sq ft), 13th Architizer A+Awards

The first event of the season took place in New York City, hosted at Lever Club, a sophisticated lounge designed by Marmol Radziner within Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM)’s modernist landmark, Lever House. Originally completed in 1952, Lever House was celebrated as one of the first glass-and-steel skyscrapers in Manhattan, heralding the city’s modern era. Marmol Radziner’s sensitive renovation of the third-floor lounge pays tribute to that history with wood-paneled interiors, bespoke furnishings, and expansive terraces overlooking Park Avenue.

The New York event offered an intimate cocktail reception, bringing together architects, designers and industry leaders from across North and South America. Beyond recognizing this year’s A+Awards winners, the evening fostered conversation, connection and collaboration, providing a chance for regional honorees to meet peers and celebrate their achievements in a setting that embodies modern design excellence.

November: Paris, France

In partnership with Material Bank Europe | Polygood | Release AEC

GRAND PALAIS by Chatillon Architectes, Paris, France | Popular Choice Winner, Gallery & Exhibition Spaces, 13th Architizer A+Awards

The second celebration will be hosted in Paris in tandem with the inaugural Release [AEC] event — a groundbreaking day-long forum dedicated to the technologies reshaping the future of architecture. With keynote sessions, live demonstrations and exhibitions from some of the industry’s most innovative tech companies, Release [AEC] provides an ideal backdrop for the gathering dedicated to A+Awards winners located in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

Attendees are invited to immerse themselves in the full program of talks and technology showcases before joining a special evening panel discussion, featuring three A+Award–winning projects from Paris. This intimate conversation will highlight how local innovation is reshaping one of the world’s great architectural capitals.

The night will conclude with a networking reception and DJ afterparty, offering a celebratory setting for architects, designers and industry leaders to connect, exchange ideas, and honor this year’s winners.

Winter: Shenzhen, China

In partnership with OEZER | CR Land | Global Design Awards Lab

CR Land Shenzhen Culture Square by MAD Architects, Shenzhen, China

The third and final celebration of the A+Awards season will take place in Shenzhen, one of the world’s most dynamic laboratories of contemporary architecture. Hosted at the soon-to-be-completed CR Land Shenzhen Culture Square by MAD Architects — a landmark project set to become a cultural nexus for the city — the event will gather winners and industry leaders from across Asia and the Pacific.

As the A+Awards’ culminating celebration, the Shenzhen event will highlight projects from across the region, honoring three region-specific Project of the Year winners and offering attendees the chance to connect within one of Asia’s fastest-growing design communities. More details on the program will be announced in the weeks ahead, but the evening promises to be a fitting finale to a season dedicated to celebrating architecture at both local and global scales.
