We believe everyone should have a say in naming the world’s best buildings, giving credit to small, emerging firms and big-name architects alike. No matter who designs it, all good architecture is equally worthy of recognition, and now is your chance to give your favorite buildings the spotlight.

Public voting for the 11th Annual A+Awards Program is officially open! You have from Monday, May 1st to Friday, May 12th, 2023, to make sure your voice is heard, so don’t hesitate — hit the button below to get started:

Remember, you can vote on every date throughout the 12-day voting period, so bookmark the site on your browser and be sure to support your favorite entries!

Clockwise from left: One Delisle by Studio Gang, 2023 Finalist, Unbuilt Multi-Unit Housing; Pan Cabin by Pan Cabins, 2023 Finalist, Hotels & Resorts and Architecture +Metal; MPavilion by all(zone), 2023 Finalist, Architecture +Color

As the world’s largest awards program for architecture and products, the A+Awards celebrates the diverse talent of designers everywhere and, unlike many other architectural award programs, is a purely democratic process. An architect simply needs a great project and a Wi-Fi connection to be in the running. As a voter, all you need is to go online and choose the most inspiring designs from the collection of designs (shortlisted by our reputable judges, who sit on a 250+ member jury academy comprised of a sought-after segment of design-savvy professionals).

Remember: Every vote counts. We’re asking you to view these projects with fresh eyes and an open mind. It doesn’t matter who designed them or where they’re located. Ask yourself: Does this project make the world a better place? Does it inspire me? Is it truly innovative? If so, vote for it and celebrate the most incredible projects created by talented architects around the globe. The more votes received for each category, the closer we can get to a true representation of what exceptional architecture looks like today.

Clockwise from left: Matagouri by fearonhay – 2023 Finalist, Private House (L 4000 – 6000 sq ft); Qianhai’s Guiwan Park by James Corner Field Operations, 2023 Finalist, Public Parks & Green Spaces and Architecture +Urban Transformation; Xiamen Xinhee Headquarter by MAD Architects, 2023 Finalist, Office – Mid Rise (5 – 15 Floors)

While the Pritzker Prize jury is a select group of stellar architects and well-known critics who gather together to choose a single recipient, the A+Awards celebrates the opinions of a public that lives, works and plays within architecture every single day. Every vote is equal, so as you select your favorite project from the shortlist, your voice is heard as loudly as Alejandro Aravena, Barry Bergdoll and Wang Shu’s. After all, you don’t need to be a Pritzker juror to be inspired by great design and the people behind it.

Not only is the voting period a way for you to see tons of amazing architecture, but you actually have a say in which architects will take home the prestigious awards! Cast your votes using our free and easy-to-use online ballot, and make sure to run through every category to make your voice heard across the board. Don’t forget to tell your fellow architecture fans to vote too — or better yet, rally your non-architect friends and give them a crash course in what it’s all about!

Clockwise from left: Binary Spectrum by Dubbeldam Architecture + Design, 2023 Finalist Architecture +Color; The Greenary by CRA-Carlo Ratti Associati, 2023 Finalist, Private House (L 4000 – 6000 sq ft); 130 William by Adjaye Associates, Multi Unit Housing – High Rise (16+ Floors); ANOHA – The Children’s World of the Jewish Museum Berlin by Olson Kundig, 2023 Finalist, Gallery & Exhibition Spaces

Architizer’s A+Awards program provides a vital opportunity to recognize the creative leaders on the front lines of architecture’s evolution. The buildings we award prizes are upheld as exemplary designs; the merit is not just about celebrating the people and firms behind the excellence, but also about selecting leaders that model the direction that the profession is taking. It is about building new paths towards more sustainable and equitable built environments.

This year, we’ve also introduced a special set of Sustainability Awards, a new suite of A+Award categories dedicated to projects that act as positive precedent for green building practices in specific regions and the wider world. If you feel strongly about the direction that architects should take in the green revolution, have your say by voting for the projects that best exemplify these values.

With all of this in mind, we’re asking you to take back architecture. Cast your votes between Monday May 1st and Friday May 12th, and celebrate the most amazing projects on the planet — together with those that worked so hard to bring them to reality:
