Call for Entries: Participate in the CVG Architecture Business Plan Competition

Architecture firms with innovative growths plans are encouraged to enter for a chance to win a grand prize and meet industry leaders.

Are you a leader of a small architecture firm interested in planning for the future of your business? If so, Charrette Venture Group’s (CVG) Architecture Business Plan Competition is the perfect opportunity to show what you can do.

Launched in 2014, this is the only competition that promotes important business fundamentals in small to mid-sized architectural practices in the U.S. and Canada. This unique contest recognizes smaller architecture firms that have invested time and resources in effective planning for their businesses. It challenges firms to develop a smart business plan that will help grow their practice sustainably.

Register for the Competition

By January 13th 2020, entrants must submit a one-page “Executive Summary” explaining the vision for their architecture firm’s future. This is then followed by a semi final and a final, each requiring further submissions. Registrants will receive instructive tips and articles from CVG in advance of each deadline to help them develop their business plans.

This competition is especially notable for its amazing prizes! Rewards valued at over $5,000 await the winners, including paid travel and lodging to the 2020 AIA Conference on Architecture in Los Angeles. Finalists will have the incredible opportunity to interact with a jury of industry leaders. There is no fee to enter and all submissions are confidential.

Previous Grand Prize winners include EVIA Studio (2019); JAMB Collective (2018); Arch406 (2016); DELV Design (2015); and Eleven59 Studio (2014).

In terms of eligibility, registrants must own an equal or majority share of an existing business that has received at least $100 in revenue within the past six months, is a legally registered business in the United States or Canada, and employs fewer than 25 full-time employees.
