This project explores the iconic HSBC Main Building, adapting its structure and purpose in a dystopian manner. Throughout the design process, Liew reshaped the building into a space of captivity and greed: a prison-bank hybrid structure.
The building houses the Sentinels, drones designed to generate wealth as efficiently as possible. They work day and night, non-stop. Their existence underscores the endless greed of the higher-ups who control things from behind the scenes.
The objective of this project is to express narratives and spatial elements through drawings and animations. As we follow the routines of the Sentinels, spectators get a glimpse into the building’s heart.
