The Reserves at Gray Park project by Duvall Decker Architects, P.A. brings more affordable housing to Greenville, a neighborhood of Jackson, Mississippi, left behind by demographic and economic changes in the community.
The three-building types developed by the firm serve as infill and/or cluster sites in the neighborhood; they fit the scale of typical lot sizes while also increasing density by 200-400%. When clustered, the buildings form a mass similar to the typical single-family homes in the existing neighborhood, allowing greater density and a fit and feel that resists the stigmatizing typology of “affordable housing.”
