The Hong Kong Garden at the Beijing International Horticultural Exposition, designed by Architectural Service Department (ArchSD), explores a design approach that reconciles development and nature in the urban environment. The project reflects the contrasting urban and garden images in the territory and explores the aesthetic value of ‘edible’ landscape. The garden has become a model for how food urbanism and sustainable initiatives can be incorporated into a compact city.
