Sliding timber screens open on warmer days, lightand space flow freely; at night and winter days the screens slide shut, the hearth a blazing stove.Internally windows are cut to allow particular views...the lichen covered granite outcrop…distant blue peaksof the Twelve Bens...dry stonewalls and the scattered islands...scraggy hills and flooded fields...
