Like a water drop flowing down the leaves´ veins, the Water Drop Gallery lies in perfect harmony on the slope in a park. The gallery is located in the centre of Parukarka Park in the Prague quarter Zizkov. With its location, the building forms a landmark of Parukarka Park and provides the possibility of cultural activities besides sports and relaxation. The design evolved from the concepts of dynamics and statics, fun and peace, sport and relaxation, etc. Since concepts defining the park are in contrast, a water drop running down a leaf was the major inspiration and connecting element of this project. The spatial solution is almost literally based on this inspiration and is complemented by a tube going through the drop. The tube connects the upper and lower parts of the park. The building shell and the tube consist of grey rectangular panels made of reinforced polycarbonate. The interior is designed simply in shades of grey (white division walls, black doors, cast concrete floor and white semi-permeable membrane as the inner shell).
