We have meticulously crafted a residence for 14 families nestled in the enchanting UN Village of Seoul. This exceptional locale offers sweeping vistas of Seoul's majestic mountains and rivers, inspiring our project to venture into uncharted territories for collective housing.
Our primary focus was on lighting, addressing the deficiencies commonly found in conventional apartment complexes. Guided by the overarching theme of "peaceful," our vision was to curate a distinctive experience by seamlessly integrating light, water, and lush greenery.
As one steps through the grand entrance, the lobby unfolds with a breathtaking elongated ceiling window. The culmination of a year-long study on the natural light dynamics of the region led to a meticulous design ensuring that, between 15:00 and 17:00 from the second week of September to the second week of October, sunlight gracefully permeates in a linear fashion.
Within each unit, a personal oasis awaits, featuring a private garden and spa strategically positioned at a nexus where interior and exterior spaces harmonize. Stepping into the house, an ambiance of refined illumination emanates from the ceiling, casting a play of light on the abundant plant life below. Each living space is thoughtfully centered around a tree, creating an environment where every inhabitant can relish a bespoke experience akin to a private residence.
In this visionary project, despite the collective nature of the housing, our aspiration is to deliver an opulent experience where every generation can revel in the luxury of personal space, seamlessly blending the elements of light, water, and verdant surroundings.
