This fun + optimistic project proposes to re-interpret a large stretch of Central London's waterfront with an expandable flood protection system which becomes a promenade when the river Thames is at high tide or in flood. The components which make up the 'flood fabric' are designed in such a way that they drain irregularly and, over time the expandable 'geotextile' becomes a wetland in the heart of London.
