Miami. Museum Park. Metromover station. currently closed....This place needs something new. New bright landmark. Rennovation.Update. Rebirth. Rebirth is coming. In a close future this location will be very prominent. Proposed relandscaping of park, introduction of two new museums /Miami Art Museum and MIami science museum/ will bring new life to existing enviroment. New projects and existing buildings /such as Arsht Center for the performing arts, Miami Herald building and other/ will produce soon very creative and people-friendly space. Only one part of ideal space is missing. Place needs a focal point for connection all parts in one integratedenvironment. It needs easy pedestrian access. That is what metromoverstation should became. Intersection of people`s ways, landmark, centerof area.Main idea of this proposal - is to unite all different partsin one. Create bright atmospheric comfortable space.Proposed station is completely new structure consisting of platform, shelter, vertical circulation (stairs, elevators and escalators).Station is designed in three levels. First - is a ground level, from which we can get access to the stairs and elevators to achieve second and third levels.Second level is platform with art gallery and a kiosk for souvenirs and maps on it.Platform is sutuated between the tracks for comfort of passengers. Third level - is part of the great bridge-avenue which connects two north and south sides of the site, which are divided with a on-ramp highway now.Under this levels there are four sliced envelopes-shelters divided with spaces filled with a structure of steel and glass. This orginize aeration and good insulation of station without negative features of Miami climate. They save all underlying levels from heat and rain. Also this envelope becomes a bright landmark itself. Main material of new metromover station is Fiber reinforced concrete.Which is aimed to resist a heavy climate of Miami with it`s heat, humidity, rains and even hurricanes...miami. museum park. metromover station. nice place to start a walk!
