Competition for National Center of Metrology Building, Sofia, Bulgaria
In 2009 the National Center of Metrology organized a competition for a building complex to host national measurement standards and provide calibration services. This proposal integrates all laboratories and technological spaces into an overall 130x40 m two-storey building structure of four functional blocks under a grass roof, inscribed into the northern slope with the first floor almost entirely underground. It is topped by a third floor with administrative functions.
