The floating architecture of the artbarge drifts along the forgotten edge of the city. The concept of connecting points of interest may now be realized. A locus (plural: loci) is a path. The path is formed by a point which moves according to some rule. The locus of a point moves so that it is always a set distance (x) from a fixed point (context). As “building” for the loci almost every structure both real and imaginary extends in space, this floating “construct” or structure temporarily alters the landscape of the city. The artbarge engages loci images connected to contextual sites to activate this peripheral edge of the city. A protective spirit of a place is created a relatively unspoiled or regenerated place is formed. the notion of “riverwalk” can now be realized to a location’s distinctive atmosphere, or a “spirit of place”
