Gegründet wurde das Architekturbüro von Michael Heim 1990. Zwei Jahre später entstand durch die Partnerschaft mit Herbert Müller, bei der sich beide Teile bis heute perfekt ergänzen, die Heim+Müller Architektur. 2002 erfolgte der Umzug in das neue Bürogebäude in der Oberen Fischbachgasse.
