Our studio offers a project for the Pushkinsky cinema façade reconstruction that is aimed at preserving the functionality of the building’s form and at breathing new life into it at the same time. We decided to maintain the very idea of a transparent glass façade, substituting a modern system for the old construction. Enjoyable interior can be a powerful expressive means that would attract visitors into the cinema. Wood is chosen as the major decoration material in the project; this kind of material is widely used in contemporary façade decoration.One of the fundamental elements in theproject is a decorative «screen» manufactured with Corian Dupont.A laconic graphic pattern of the screen’stracery visually lightens the building’s silhouette and tones well with theenvironment.
