Charles de Lisle transformed the neoclassical Crocker Bank built in 1913 in the heart of San Francisco's Mission district into the beautifully tailored headquarters for Vanguard Properties. Charles aimed for theatrical juxtapositions of new and old. Weaving modernist aesthetics with historical motifs of the turn of the century to create a new and dynamic space. Custom walls incorporate both task lighting and closet space for each employee, the original vault converted into a dramatic dining room, the entry dominated by a 12 foot steel desk and framed by custom printed fabric bound to a 14 foot tall freestanding wall.
