The design uses the existing topography as the starting point. This creates a captivating movement that creates the “statement” desired by Tri-Creek, but the plan arrangement is based on a very clear form follows function approach. The spaces are clearly organized to create programmatic segregation as required, yet allowing for common space collaboration at the same time. Pedestrians approaching from Oakley Avenue, have the opportunity to meander to an entrance on the north side that takes them directly through the existing Oak Tree grove. Vehicles are segregated from the pedestrian paths and taken to one of two pre-existing parking lots. Both processional paths create a sense of intrigue and arrival for both employees and visitors to the site. Most importantly, it creates the sense of excitement and energy desired by Tri-Creek.
