The interactive exhibition ‘Codes. Sounds. Signs’, organized in collaboration
with the Embassy of Mexico, consists of reconstructed musical instruments and sound reproducing equipment. They do not just bring together technology in one object, but also expand the boundaries of the listening experience, destroying the primitive standard functionality of the equipment. Tanya Kandiani’s project describes the forms of interaction between musical instrument, machine and man - this, in the broadest sense, is a study of the emerging language of modern technologies.
