The Sheraton Abandoibarra Hotel in Bilbao is a homage to the great Basque sculptor Eduardo Chillida. The concept started out with a gigantic imaginary sculpture on an urban scale from which we began to carve the central atrium, introducing light and color from the outside to create a building that fits naturally into both traditional and contemporary Bilbao, maintaining the characteristic strength of Basque culture.
