This exhibition, sponsored by Pratt Institute and Cotton Incorporated, presented the work of Pratt students who explored cotton as a means to develop spatial constructs. Because of the variety of projects generated, a serpentine armature system was created to display hung, scrim pieces while curvilinear benches supported woven work that allowed for more intimate visitor interactions. Baby blue paint was used to highlight the mostly earth-tone color palette of the cotton pieces and to clearly announce exhibition elements. The same blue color filled a datum on the gallery wall that held process work and finished photographs.
