Abstract
The building consists of the expansion of the old building classrooms and is established as a new urban front facing Avenue September 29.
It is defined through a continuous metal folding subdivided into two main sectors: the circulatory area, double height and the classrooms simple height area.
Between the two buildings, linked by connectors, it generates a leafy courtyard.
Construction
The building is part of the National University of Lanus. It is a free public university where most of its students are first generation college students in their families.
In this context, the buildings are solved with a construction technology that is known and inexpensive, in Argentine canons.
In this way the building is generated from a skeleton of metal profiles and corrugated exterior cladding with aluminum joinery.
