House Calderai was created to meet the modern concept of low environmental impact. In fact, the ground floor is completely made of wood, and consists of two interpenetrating volumes.
The part of the basement as well as service areas and garages, houses a guest room and a games room for children.
The volume that contains the kitchen-living room ope, is constantly overturned outside in nature, and is the part that speaks with nature, being clad in larch wood which oxidizes and changes color over time and according to the natural dynamics .
The sleeping area is accessed by a narrow passage that acts as a filter through large windows that act as collector for the heat of the sun in winter.
