Absorbing the advantages of modern art and refining the geometry and lines into a three dimensional space is the main design concept of this project. We actually thought about this house as a three-dimensional abstract painting which combines the ideas and elements that had been taken from classic mid-century modern art works.
Well-known artist like Friedrich Vordemberge-Gildewart, Piet Cornelies Mondrian, and le Corbusier soon came to mind and became our inspiration. Both of these works are known for their composition of lines, squares and colors, which reaches towards perfect proportions from irregular composition, just like modern artists who find the balance between innovation and tradition. The interior design idea follows the “modern pattern” from elevation to space itself. Each wall should be seen as an abstract modern painting, and then brings the elements from wall again, into interior space.
