Market Greenway envisions San Francisco’s Market Street as a continuous linear park linking Van Ness Avenue and the Ferry Building. Proposed by Honglin Li and team for the Market Street Reimagined competition (ULI SF, Civic Joy Fund), the scheme stitches native plantings, rain gardens, and urban forests into the corridor to cool the street, manage stormwater, and restore habitat. Movable pavilion canopies form flexible civic rooms while keeping pedestrians moving. Targeted rezoning adds mixed housing; an autonomous surface-mobility layer syncs with improved BART/MUNI, creating an equitable network. Exhibited at the San Francisco Ferry Building through 2025.
