The Festival will open from 13th to 18th of June. The Pavilion will open the 7th of June .
Montpellier, France
The Festival des Architectures Vives is an architectural path for the general public, who can discover or rediscover the historical landmarks of the city of Montpellier. The event invites visitors to go in contact this rich heritage by offering installations scattered around the city. In Montpellier, it takes place in the historic town and offers a path connecting mansions and courtyards, mostly private, that are usually not visible to visitors.
Each installation created by architects teams allows to highlight the work of a younger generation which is inventing, experimenting and exploring new design of our environment fields. Since 2006, the FAV is organized annually by the association Champ Libre, chaired by Jacques Brion and Elodie NOURRIGAT, architects in Montpellier.
The access is completely free and open to all.

The FAV will held from the 13th to 18th of June 2017 in Montpellier.
Free access from 9am to 7pm. ( 2pm to 6:30pm the 13)
The pavilion will open the 7th june from 9am to 7pm
Thematic
For this edition, the FAV thematic is Emotion.
Partnership with Concéntrico
The festival Concéntrico has been created by Javier Peña Ibañez who has participated to the FAV in 2012. He created in 2015 the first edition of Concéntrico in Logroño, in Spain.
A team from Concéntrico will create an installation in Montpellier for the Festival.
The team who represented the FAV was composed of Samuel Berthomeau and Lucie Monthes who had participated to the FAV in 2012 and from Michael Martins Afonso who had participated to the FAV in 2016.

Invited Team
Each yearn an university is invited so as to participate to the Festival. for this 12th edition, the Higher Technical School of Architecture of the University of the Basque Contry in San Sebastián will realize an installation.
