The development is designed primarily for commercial office use and the client’s desire to provide upper-end tenancies. This project is seen as a means of examining architectural rejuvenation and infill development within the realm of an existing and aging streetscape.
With the original office building being refurbished and a larger extension built in the adjacent lot, the final form provides a striking and imposing presence on Elkhorn Avenue, creating a landmark destination for the commercial tenants. In creating an innovative approach to a conventional office building design, we believe we have contributed to the platform for the rejuvenation of the Surfers Paradise urban setting. The intention for this development is to enhance an important part of everyday life such as the occupants working environment as well as lifting the design bar of the precinct.
