This private house on the outskirts of a small village near Hilversum was extended by two large dormers from which one has a staggering length of 9 meters.
This house built in the early 70s has very nice details on the gutter and the eaves. While designing the extension on the first floor we found it really important to continue in this existing style. The design we came up refers to the former details and color pallet.
The cladding of the dormer is of black zinc. The eaves ornaments are detailed and integrated in the interior design. Thereby are the ornaments specially handcrafted and homemade.
The bedrooms and the bathroom are situated on the first floor. The client wished a neutral modern-classical style with a sense of space. The furniture, art and lighting are used to create a spacious feeling.
The combination of black and white tiles, chrome faucets and mirrors with a classical black framing give the bathroom an elegant look and feel.
