4A House
Its my first residential project.
The site is located in a very dense urban area at Komuna e Parisit, Tirane and I had to design a house + office for an architect.
Considering the dens movement between the main street in front of the site and the second street behind the site I decided to lift the house from the ground so the ground level was a free flowing space. The dimension of the site were 14x9 meters and in both sides of the site are two symmetrical 3 floors buildings with pitched roofs, so I decided to do the same thing with the east and west elevations of the house, creating a free flowing space thus I create the breathing factor which the main concept of the house and I have a 14x6 meters space for the house.
The stairs which are in the east side of the house and are separated from the main areas of the building thus creating a free flowing space which links ground level (urban space) with the office on the 1st floor and house on the 2nd floor.
The office is a single free flowing space where 4 architects can work, with the meeting table positioned on the north with the main street view.
The house consists on three main function areas and spaces. The first one living area united with kitchen and dining area, the second one bathrooms and the third the sleeping area. Putting on the south the living area, on the north the sleeping area, in the middle the bathrooms and on the east side a corridor which links the areas creating a free flowing space without doors.
The main areas of the house are the living room and the office which are always lighten by sun.
The terrace is green, planted with green grass so the building gives back the space it takes up on the ground.
