It is a project of 68 collective houses designed taking into account the weather and environmental conditions, this project uses its design and architectural elements, as main assets to supply optimal conditions of habitability and comfort inside. The low energy demand of housing is provided by efficient energy systems.
The project is developed in 4 blocks of free housing typology group, with parking out with a basement for 65 parking areas. The communal gardens are designed as oriented corridors prevailing wind with Mediterranean vegetation, deciduous to stop the summer sun, and receive the maximum in winter. On the other hand, in the north facades, evergreen trees to protect them from cold winds.
It has prioritized the importance of the orientation for good bioclimatic operation and opening holes for control of natural lighting and ventilation, so the blocks are oriented s/n and se/nw, directing south and southeast stays inhabit and north and northwest wet rooms (bathrooms and kitchens).
All houses have cross ventilation and has sought the maximum energy efficiency in response to bioclimatic concepts.
It has Work on natural ventilation forces, indeed pressure differences due to flotation are directly proportional to the height differences and the difference between the temperature of the incoming and outgoing air.
Therefore the height of the living room is designed with a height of almost 6 meters to the highest point of the tower.
The tower works by changing the temperature and thus the density of the air inside and in the environment. In the presence of wind the tower functions as a sensor-drive breezes inside the building, in case of positive pressure, and as exhaust air.
Structurally it is a bidirectional scheme reticular reinforced concrete slab. The façade is composed by coating with mortar monolayer, two leaves factory, tubeless. The cover is passable and constructive solution of the tower that generates the chimney effect consists of an armed slab on their faces inclined finishing lacquered aluminium sandwich panel in gray. The vertical faces are resolved as façades.
All windows are PVC with thermal break and the window is placed in the tower on the north side, it has electric opening.
