The original construction dates back to the 70's, was characterized by a
distribution typical of the interior: the hall consisted of a unique
environment, situated on different levels which included, without
distinction of space, other features: the bar and lounge. Even the
materials were typically 70: glazed tiles, glass walls next to concrete
walls in stone-to-face view, ceilings with fluorescent lights and
fixtures in dark wood.
The beautiful island of Capri has inspired the architect who
transformed the hotel into a luxurious Mediterranean palace, warm and
cozy at the same time, if the customer feels at home.
The main goal of architectural design, structural, and together, was
to create spaces that enhance the architecture of the island and let
the energy flow freely, smoothly and sudden detours, creating a
continuum with the place.
To create a "container Mediterranean" were included as columns,
arches, barrel vaults and cruise creating well-defined spaces in their
duties, with clear and distinct paths, cozy and enveloping, but without
circumscribing material through net closures.
Even the choice of light colors is derived from a desire to enhance
its Mediterranean architecture. The floor used was a mixture of polished
stone, impressive material oriented designed and made by achieving
'Architect same: materials, unique and unrepeatable, whose net effect
was that of an old floor, as consumed by the time it seems always been
there. The neutrality of the color envelope has allowed the
identification some furniture or objects that contrast with the ivory
color and material of the other elements. The furniture was chosen and
designed by the architect with the intent to create in the entrance hall
a more sophisticated with the inclusion of antique furniture, ethnic
furniture in the common areas with Moroccan lanterns create a pleasant
atmosphere relaxation, even in rooms find light colors that highlight
the canopies of cotton and linen fabrics with the neutral tones and
elegant furnishings, bleached. Great importance was given to the design
of the bathrooms which are here reinterpreted as bathrooms where every
detail is studied in detail: the clear base color, a white stone used
for floors but also for the sinks and showers, which for its color
consistency and the heat transmitting, it might seem wooden.
