The building was designed to stretch across the open prairie and merge contemporary and traditional elements while creating a space where employees can work to their fullest potential. Pigott was selected by the client as a partner due to a holistic understanding of their needs and wide range of product offerings. In close collaboration with Substance Architecture, the interior was designed to allow for seamless integration of interior furnishings with key architectural elements in this new build. The in-depth partnership provided by all parties allowed for a more refined design and complete build out.
Pigott’s design team utilized place-making studies to provide research-based insights that allowed the team to fully realize the organizational goals for the new space. Through this research, the design team applied assigned workstations within a departmental “pod” formation that included collaborative drop spaces to accommodate all modes of work for each team.
Sit-to-stand desks and performance task chairs were provided for each employee to promote a more ergonomic work place. Panel heights were lowered to allow for more daylight sharing, allowing employees to have a greater sense of involvement in daily tasks throughout the office. Drop in meeting rooms, conference rooms, and open break areas allow for even more places to collaborate and work more efficiently. Quality finishes throughout the building deliver a relaxing environment that gives a nod to the quality product and work provided by Brownells.
Throughout the process the client was pleased with the knowledge and insight that the Pigott staff delivered. The team provided a unified front, making for a smooth process from design through installation. The transition into a new building has been seamless and provides an office that employees can be proud of for years to come.
