The design curatorship of the space was entrusted to the expertise of AGENCE BLANCHET D’ISTRIA who found in WOOD-SKIN the best choice to achieve this gently S-shaped wall, which serves as a partition element between the terrace and the reception area, creating depth and movement through its 3-dimensional forms.
Using a light wooden structure that defines the sinuous shape of the base wall as a support, we covered the area by hanging WOOD-SKIN from the plasterboard ceiling just like a curtain. This was made possible by the lightness of the material and its ability to function almost like a textile. The final effect is an extremely rigid and multi-colored surface, despite the fact that there is no support structure.
Thanks to the digital flexibility of WOOD-SKIN, our design team was able to model the cladding by following the opening of the door and the dimensions of the seating element with millimetric precision, ending with a delicate flourish at the glass of the entrance.
