From a logical and common sense of thinking, this house is developed with a design starting point where there are three key elements ; In the first place, the geographical point where the land is located so as a priority it takes orientation and thermal comfort . Guadalajara, being a city where the warm climate predominates most of the year, is essential to project from the search for shade and sun protection. Second, to be able to privilege the views of its immediate context as much as possible, because the ranch where the project is developed used to be an avocado orchard in the past, it has a fertile land for which there is an abundant variety of trees of large size that give a special atmosphere to the whole place. Third, and of greater importance, the emotional sense, never forgetting poetically inhabiting the space and the possibility of being able to discover new spatial and human situations as one goes through the house.
The creative process is developed by means of 2 rectangular volumes with equal dimensions (9M x 30M) that when rotated 7 degrees from each other provide the possibility of generating new spaces that result in inhabiting the house in the most pleasant way possible, such as it is a completely open terrace that can be used at any time and any day of the year, A double height entrance contained between 3 walls that cover from arrival, embrace and invite to pass, some visual frames that provoke to walk the corridors and finally views in the rooms that embrace and invite to stay there.
The aesthetics of the house from our vision as architects and builders aims to blur the distinctive elements of some formal architecture referring to a specific period of time. This is intended to be achieved through the use of materials, textures, basic shapes and incorporating hierarchical elements such as 50 CM thickness walls.
