Stanford trained cultural anthropologist turned designer, Philip Otto, founded Otto Design Group as an exploration of the intersection between design, art and culture. Throughout his career he has maintained a dialog between these interconnected worlds. Philip works across a variety of media to craft environments and experiences that are both practical and poetic, reflecting the cultural landscape while being truly unique statements.
With his firm, ODG, Philip has worked internationally with some of the leading brands in the world. His client list includes Verve Coffee Roasters, Anthropologie, Coca-Cola International, The Aldo Group, Undefeated, MTV, New Era, Quiksilver, Urban Outfitters, Vans, Nylon Magazine, and Free People to name a few.
He has been responsible for everything from brand strategy and design concepts to roll out mechanics and related media for these projects.
Philip has also curated exhibitions in New York City, Philadelphia and Los Angeles involving culturally relevant artists such as Shepard Fairey, Ryan McGinnis, José Parla, Thomas Campbell, Brian Ellis and Barry McGee among others.
