GMARQ is an architecture office began by the architects Adrián Govetto and Lucas Mansilla in 1999 in Buenos Aires City. It is focused on the project, its management and construction of houses and other works. The study’s profile is “author’s architecture”, an idea focused on meeting the needs of the client and incorporating him too think about his project. “We do not impose our ideas on the client, rather we incorporate him in the project’s process.”
During its thirteen years of work, GMARQ has made projects and built a wide range of buildings –family homes, apartments buildings, shops, temples and multiple-purpose complexes (offices, homes and TV studies)- in different parts of the country and neighbouring countries as well.
Along with these works GMARQ has taken part in public competitions where has won several prizes, including first award for the building of the new Town Hall in Rawson city (Chubut province). In relation to this award, and because of Patagonia’s great potential, the study has recently opened a branch office in San Carlos de Bariloche as from January 2013.
We would like to point out the great regard with the environment that is present in our projects –an issue which is always of great interest in the projects where the building sustainability is considered by aiming at the maximum energy saving in the construction stage as well as during its lifetime, low cost of maintenance expenses, and its minimum impact on the natural and artificial habitat surrounding it.
