The angry architect boycotted the opening of his Philharmonie de Paris in protest against the \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/architizer.com\/blog\/architects-disowning-projects\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fakery and sabotage<\/a>\u201d that he believed had undermined the project. Governor General Sir Peter Cosgrove was impressed \u2014 calling it \u201cthe most beautiful brown paper bag I\u2019ve ever seen.\u201d Across the Pacific Ocean, <a href=\"http:\/\/architizer.com\/firms\/big-bjarke-ingels-group\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bjarke Ingels<\/a> began his Canadian adventure, as the <a href=\"http:\/\/architizer.com\/blog\/telus-sky-tower\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Telus Sky tower<\/a> broke ground in the heart of Calgary. Gehry landed with a second major project in as many months; this time, receiving rave reviews for a convention-busting office for Mark Zuckerberg\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/architizer.com\/blog\/frank-gehrys-facebook-headquarters\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook Headquarters<\/a>. Meanwhile, Dame <a href=\"http:\/\/architizer.com\/firms\/zaha-hadid-architects\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Zaha Hadid<\/a> caused a stir with some strong words during an in-depth interview with the Huffington Post. In New York, Santiago Calatrava received the <a href=\"http:\/\/architizer.com\/blog\/santiago-calatrava-european-prize-for-architecture\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2015 European Prize for Architecture<\/a> for his contribution to architectural heritage across the continent.
