This is, of course, a mature, responsible position and one that most architects eventually come around to anyway.<\/p>\n<p>But still, the injunction that, as Kengo Kuma put it, \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/architizer.com\/blog\/architecture-not-the-protagonist-kengo-kuma\/\" target=\"_blank\" helvetica=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">architecture should not be the protagonist of the environment<\/a>\u201d is a bitter pill to swallow. Here, architects are able to perfectly realize miniature versions of even their <a href=\"http:\/\/architizer.com\/blog\/absolute-stunners-the-10-sexiest-models-of-all-time\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">grandest, most outlandish designs<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For architecture fans, models are interesting because they are the purest expression of the architect\u2019s vision in its ideal form. Furthermore, their smaller scale allows viewers to take in buildings as a whole, enabling a very different kind of experience than would be offered by seeing the site in person. Of the former, Tokyo residents will be pleased to see the model precursors of <a href=\"http:\/\/architizer.com\/projects\/kengo-kuma-associatesasakusa-culture-tourist-information-center\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Asakusa Culture and Tourism Center<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tokyo_Skytree\" helvetica=\"\" neue\",=\"\" helvetica,=\"\" arial,=\"\" sans-serif;=\"\" font-weight:=\"\" 400;\"=\"\">Tokyo Skytree<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Haneda_Airport\" helvetica=\"\" neue\",=\"\" helvetica,=\"\" arial,=\"\" sans-serif;=\"\" font-weight:=\"\" 400;\"=\"\">Haneda Airport<\/a>. The constantly expanding collection includes works by <a href=\"http:\/\/architizer.com\/firms\/kengo-kuma-and-associates\/\" target=\"_blank\" helvetica=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Kengo Kuma<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aokijun.com\/en\/works\" target=\"_blank\" helvetica=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Jun Aoki<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/architizer.com\/firms\/shigeru-ban-architects\/\" target=\"_blank\" helvetica=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Shigeru Ban<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/wonder-wall.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" helvetica=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Wonderwall,<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/architizer.com\/firms\/torafu-architects\/\" target=\"_blank\" helvetica=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Torafu<\/a> and more.<\/p>\n<p>Ultimately, Warehouse TERRADA hopes for the museum to serve as an archive of 21st-century Japanese architecture. The QR code links to blueprints, renderings and information about other projects the architect has worked on.
