The Powers of Ten<\/i> (1968) by Ray and Charles Eames is a staple film in contemporary design (and life) literacy. Considered \u201cculturally, historically, or aesthetically significant\u201d by the Library of Congress, the film was added to the United States National Film Registry in 1998. But did you know that, in addition to this masterpiece, the design power couple made more than 100 more films between 1950 and 1982? <\/p>\n
Channeling their unique strength in design toward the medium of film, the Eameses were exceptionally good at visualizing abstract concepts. Their short films were like predecessors to the internet\u2019s brain-workout videos, like TED<\/a> or RSA Animate<\/a>. The couple produced snippets on philosophy, science and mathematics in visually clear and stimulating ways.<\/p>\n
