The classic bathroom elements of white ceramic fixtures, marble vanity tops, wood-simulating cabinets and metallic-finish faucets and fittings aren’t the only games in town recently. Color is creeping back into the bath in tasteful ways — and we’re not talking about tile or chromatherapy systems.

This dramatic freestanding tub has a glossy white interior, but its exterior is a bright fire-engine red. Crafted by glass artisans in Tuscany, the piece combines acrylic with resin and glass pigments. It measures 30¾ inches deep by 68-7/8 inches wide, and its height runs from 23¼ to 36-5/8 inches.
