Bath Trend: 10 Products Bringing Color Back, Boldly or Subtly

Sheila Kim

The classic bathroom elements of white ceramic fixtures, marble vanity tops, wood-simulating cabinets and metallic-finish faucets and fittings aren’t the only games in town recently. Color is creeping back into the bath in tasteful ways — and we’re not talking about tile or chromatherapy systems.

Bette: Bettelux Shape
A series of beautiful freestanding tubs and washbasins that sit on metal frames, Bettelux Shape (also shown at top) allows for color mixing and matching. For instance, the tub and washbasins come in glossy white or black, and the cubic frames in black, white, taupe, mint, sky or rose.

Graff: Ametis Single-Handle Lavatory Faucet
Graff offers this mixer in an “architectural” black or white finish. In addition to the striking matte finish, it sports a bold curvilinear shape and optional integrated LED illumination that indicates water temperature with blue and red hues. The unit comes in both a deck- and wall-mounted version.

(It is also available in gold leaf, black and silver leaf).

It’s got a common oval shape, but its color options give it a one-of-a-kind appearance. The interior of this acrylic piece stays white, but the exterior can be ordered in a number of RAL colors such as this aqua-blue tone.
