It has been a week for reflecting on past predictions of the future, but, in San Francisco this November, new ones are about to be made. Paola Antonelli — the current Curator of Architecture and Design at the Museum of Modern Art in New York — is set to give her thoughts on what’s next for design when she takes to the stage at the city’s inaugural American Institute of Architects San Francisco NEXT Conference.
Taking place on November 12–13, the event will see more than 50 industry experts contributing to a dynamic discussion of the future of the built environment. Antonelli will give the keynote speech at the County Fair Building in San Francisco’s iconic Golden Gate Park following an opening reception and “placemaking” talks at the new Exploratorium on the waterfront, designed by local firm EHDD.
