The Best of the Best: Announcing the Winners of the 2016 A+Awards!

The wait is finally over. The public has spoken. Over 300 experts from fields spanning the arts and business worlds have weighed in. The winners of the 2016 A+Awards, the world’s largest awards program for architecture and products, have officially been decided!

This year’s entries have surpassed every expectation, treating us to an exhibition of innovation, spatial ingenuity and sheer architectural beauty. The quality of the entrants also captured the imagination of you, the voters, with some truly staggering statistics marking this year’s showcase for democracy in design:

  • 400,000 public voters from more than 100 countries and territories
  • Entries from 95+ countries
  • Over 200 total winners

The result? A spectacular celebration of incredible architecture and brilliant products, all given the recognition they deserve on a global stage. Thanks to Phaidon, winners in the Typology and Plus categories will all feature once again in a stunning hardbound book packed with full-color images and insightful commentary by the creators of each project. Further to this, the A+Gala — architecture’s most exciting red-carpet, black-tie event — will be held on May 12th, where every winner will be honored in the company of some extra special guests … Watch this space for more details!
