Take Back Architecture: Public Voting for the 2017 A+Awards Is Now Open!

Here’s a sneak preview of the designs you’ll be voting for this year!

Architizer Editors

In a world that feels more divided than ever before, Architizer’s A+Awards exists to globally unite people through great design. We believe everyone should have a say in naming the world’s best buildings — giving credit to small, emerging firms and big-name architects alike. No matter who designs it, all good architecture is equally worthy of recognition, and now is your chance to give your favorite buildings the spotlight. Public voting for the fifth annual competition is officially open!

CLICK HERE TO CAST YOUR VOTES IN THE 2017 A+AWARDS NOW.

As the world’s largest awards program for architecture and products, the A+Awards celebrates the diverse talent of designers everywhere and, unlike many other architectural award programs, is a purely democratic process. An architect simply needs a great project and a Wi-Fi connection to be in the running. As a voter, all you need is to go online and choose the most inspiring designs from the collection of short-listed designs.

Remember: Every vote counts. We’re asking you to view these projects with fresh eyes and an open mind. It doesn’t matter who designed them or where they’re located. Ask yourself: Does this project make the world a better place? Does it inspire me? Is it truly innovative? If so, vote now and celebrate the most incredible projects created by talented architects around the globe. Here’s a preview of just some of the amazing projects you’ll be considering this year:

Port House by Zaha Hadid Architects, Antwerp, Belgium — short-listed in the Commercial Office Office – Mid Rise (5-15 Floors)

Krøyers Plads by COBE and Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects, Copenhagen, Denmark — short-listed in the Residential Multi Unit Housing – Mid Rise (5-15 Floors) category

Crystal Houses by MVRDV, Amsterdam, Netherlands — short-listed in the Commercial Mixed-Use category

The Smile by Alison Brooks Architect, London, England — short-listed in the Commercial Pop-Ups & Temporary category

Writers Theatre by Studio Gang Architects, Glencoe, Ill. — short-listed in the Cultural Hall/Theatre category

Michigan Lake House by Desai Chia Architecture PC, Leelanau County, Mich. — short-listed in the Residential Private House (L 3000-5000 sq ft) category

We’ve curated the projects and created a simple, easy-to-use online ballot. Now, it’s up to you. Vote for your favorite building in each category and tell everyone you know to do it, too. The more votes cast in the A+Awards, the closer we get to an authentic reflection of great design today!

Our virtual voting booth is open until March 30. Cast your votes here — it’s free and quick!
