Pitching the City 2015: Open Call for Entries

Architizer Editors

Calling all NYC architects! We’re looking for the next revolutionary, innovative scheme that will revitalize and make a big impact on the city — think High Line, +Pool, or Brooklyn Bridge Park — will it be yours?

Architizer is once again teaming up with the Municipal Art Society of New York (MAS) to bring you Pitching the City 2015, a signature design competition held in conjunction with the New Museum’s IDEAS CITY Festival. The initiative is open to all architects, designers, and artists who are dreaming up new, revolutionary projects that have the power to change the future of the urban environment. This year’s theme, “The Invisible City,” encourages entrants to find unique ways to regenerate the most overlooked features of the contemporary city.

Five finalists will get the chance to pitch their ideas to an esteemed panel of experts and to an audience of urbanism enthusiasts in St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral on Friday, May 29, 2015. After receiving feedback from the panelists, a winner will be selected by a live audience vote. The winner will receive editorial assistance to launch a promotional campaign and the opportunity to present their proposal at the annual MAS Summit for New York City in October. They will also receive exposure and media coverage from MAS and Architizer, and their affiliated networks.

So, think you’ve got an amazing plan that will transform New York? Visit the competition page to learn more about entering.
